Master Bath DIY, continued…

The baseboards are up!  We replaced the 3″  with 5 –1/4″ baseboards.  My, what a difference.  Love it!

As I was painting the new color, Autumn Blond, on the walls, I started realizing this color reminds me of seashells!  How appropriate, I love the beach!  It seems I have the sand color on some of my walls, the blue reef color on some and now, I have seashells!   Unwittingly, I have surrounded myself with the place I love, in colors.

My granddaughter, Sophia, came to spend the night Saturday.  When she saw the color, her first remark was, “It reminds me of seashells.”  Of course, she would notice that, too!  She is so creative and artistic and reinforced my earlier conclusion.

Crown molding is next, just a slight problem.  It rained and then it snowed and I don’t care to take the electric miter saw outside in that.  I used the miter box and cut two pieces, tacked one in place and guess what.  The corner is not 90º.   It is 92º.  Big gap!  Can’t change the angle on my miter box.  Back to the miter saw…  Ugh!  Tomorrow the forecast is supposed to be for better weather.

This project went so much faster in my mind!

On a brighter note, Dave bought a new light fixture and installed it easily.  It is nice to have someone who is experienced with the electrical side of things.  I am not, nor do I care to be.

We have decided to lay wood flooring in the garden bath and dressing area.  Let me get this one room
