(60 + years ago). We used watered down school paste for our strips of paper. I made an alligator because that is what it turned out to be. No plan back then, just wadded up news paper and started putting on the strips of paper. LOL. When reading how they get top heavy —perhaps putting plastic pellets in the body balloon or sand then blow it up to size would help it stand alone easier.
