I’ve found that it’s much easier to remove the labels and foil lids from the newer Oui jars. I actually included how to best remove the residue from the earlier jars in an earlier post. ► Oui jars
Recently, I came across another way of removing the labels and sticky residue. First, you pour boiling water into the jar and let it sit for 10 minutes. Pour the water out and remove the label. You spoon some baking soda into a small bowl or cup and mix dishwashing soap into it to create a paste. Apply that to the jar and allow it to completely dry. Then, wash the dried paste off under running water. You might try this process.
Sorry to hear about your arthritis. I have a little bit, but I’ve been applying a liberal amount of organic castor oil to my hands and rubbing it in. It actually seems to be helping, and it definitely won’t hurt! If you’re interested in a link to the product, let me know.

Hi, Linda! When the Oui jars first showed up on the shelves here, it was difficult to remove the labels. They have changed the glue since then. I usually use a knife to lift up a corner and they peel off pretty easily. The labels come off much cleaner than they used to. A little Goo Gone takes off any remaining residue. Would love to see your creations!
