In reply to Cathy Osterman. No, Cathy. That's a good question. It is not safe to have a real candle inside a jar with epsom salt decoration on the outside. The epsom salt itself is not the primary risk; it's any flammable material, such as glue, used to adhere the salt to the jar that creates a fire hazard. Even if the salt is adhered to the outside, the heat from the candle can cause nearby flammable materials to ignite.

Can you use the Mod Podge and Epson Salt technique on a Oui jar with a real candle or poured wax candle instead of a LED candle? Will the heat from a real candle flame melt the Epson Salt?

In reply to Louise. Louise, I found these little Christmas embellishments at Hobby Lobby last year. They already have their Christmas crafting things out this year. You can find that section online if you don't have a Hobby Lobby nearby. Mini pinecones, Red poinsettias. There are 19 pages of other Christmas crafting items. Hope this helps.
