Thanks, James.  We have a compost pile over the hill in the back, but I&#039;ve been considering a tumbler.  I recently saw where you can use shredded paper to add to the tumbler. That seems like a good way to recycle all that junk mail.]]></description>

One of the biggest time-savers I&#039;ve found is switching to a raised bed setup — instead of fighting your native soil every season, you&#039;re working with a clean slate of good mix that just performs. A good raised garden bed kit for the backyard takes away the building headache too, which is a shortcut in itself. I&#039;d also add succession planting to your list — staggering sow dates by two weeks means you&#039;re always harvesting something instead of a glut all at once.
