Anyway, the dwarf peach iris is blooming. I just love this little plant. Isn’t it amazing that such a beautiful bloom comes from such a homely rhizome? Every spring, this iris returns, showing resilience and the pleasant surprises nature offers. As I tend my garden, I’m grateful for these small miracles that brighten my days.
The lavender and deep purple irises are budding, but the peach iris is always the first to show its lovely blooms.
Last year, I divided this little clump of irises and moved half of the clump to the opposite side of our walkway. Amazingly, that clump has doubled in size! Transplanting these dwarf hybrid peach irises just five or six feet away made a huge difference.
