The Collection Begins
Christopher Lowell was the first person that I knew of who had a show dedicated to home decorating and entertaining. I loved that show! He said that displaying collections en masse makes more of a statement, than spreading them around here and there. They can easily be overlooked when displayed singly but group them together and they won’t be missed.
The Santa Collection Display
He was right! Although I have other Santas displayed individually on the armoire, on tables, etc., most are here on the sideboard; they do make an impact, don’t they?
It is also interesting to see the different styles, sizes, shapes, and shades of red coloring the Santas. As the collection increases, plans will have to be made to display more en masse on other furniture or on the mantel on the fireplace.
Your Collection
You may not have a Santa collection. Perhaps you have an Angel collection, Christmas Bells, or reindeer, whatever your collection, it will have more of an impact when you display them all together.
Where to Find Collectible Santas
Be on the watch for collectible Santas when you visit flea markets or antique stores and malls. I found a box with the Santas in the picture below at a flea market. Believe it or not, the whole box was less than ten dollars!
I’ve found several Santas at garage sales, too.
