S’more Wedding Favors are a popular trend right now. Emily and Jon-Michael’s wedding venue is a beautiful old tobacco barn in southern Kentucky, The Barn at Cedar Grove. S’mores seem an appropriate addition to a barn wedding, right? Emily loved this idea and so we have come up with our version of this favor that your wedding guests will actually want!
Guests can sit down and roast their marshmallows over the fire pit, which sits under this big old sycamore tree. Amy, the owner, has created so many unique spaces for photo opportunities and activities. You will be duly impressed. Just imagine sitting here by the fire as the sun goes down.
Guests will be able to take their S’more wedding favors to the fire pit and enjoy or take them home to enjoy later. What could be better?

S’more Wedding Favors
So, the first thing to consider is how you want the tag to look. There are a lot of ideas on Pinterest for making your own tag. Emily made the tags for her “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” gifts. The tag for this project also has the papyrus look applied to it. The edges are darker and they remind me of chocolate. Doesn’t this tag itself remind you of S’mores?
Clear Bags For S’more Wedding Favors
To make these, you will need some clear plastic or cellophane party bags. The bags measure 4 x 9-1/2-inches and have a gusset on the bottom edges. The gusset allows the graham crackers to lay flat. These came with twist ties that were not needed. The ribbon pulled tightly was sufficient. You can find these bags at party supply stores or on Amazon through the link above. Be sure to double-check the size before ordering or buying! (We are an Amazon affiliate and may receive a small percentage of any sales through this link at no cost to you. Fresh Ingredients
This is our prototype. Now, we are sure the bags are right, everything fits well, and we are satisfied with the end result. The box of Nabisco Honey Maid Graham Crackers had a ‘Best When Used by Date’ on it. I bought this a couple of weeks ago and the date is 18 July 2018. Okay… Check the date!
Obviously, we won’t buy the crackers until just before the wedding. I wanted fresh marshmallows and won’t be buying them until later. Heads up! Check the dates. You may not want to purchase these items too far in advance. We plan to make these up the week before.
Sorry. The off-brands of graham crackers are not as good as the Nabisco. Spring for the good stuff. Sam’s Club has these a lot cheaper than the local grocery.
There are three packs of crackers in each box and 9 crackers per pack. If none are broken, you will have enough to make 13 favors per box.
The candy bars to use are just the 1.55-ounce size of Hershey’s Chocolate candy bars. You can buy a 36-count box of these at Sam’s Club for around twenty dollars and Amazon has them for around twenty-two. (We are an Amazon affiliate and may receive a small percentage of any sales through this link at no cost to you. Thanks for supporting this website!)
The marshmallows needed are the Kraft Jet-Puffed regular size marshmallows, not the miniature and not the Jumbo. There are 40 marshmallows per bag. Each bag should make 10 favors.
You will need two whole graham crackers, one whole candy bar, and four marshmallows for each S’more wedding favor.
Ribbon Bows
The ribbon is just a regular 7/8-inch sheer ribbon with no wired edges. Allow about 18″ for each bow. This bow is a total of 15″ of ribbon after trimming the ends.
Wrap the ribbon around the bag and tie a tight overhand knot. Make the bow. (The twist ties that come with the bags do nothing for the looks. They are not necessary.)

Hi. I’m making these for my wedding too and wondering how soon in advance to make them. Did yours last ok making a week prior?
Thanks.
Yes, Anna. I made these up a week in advance and they were fine. I wouldn’t make them up any sooner, but you can have all the bags and tags ready to go well in advance. It doesn’t take much time to assemble them. Congratulations on your wedding!
