Have you seen a white twig tree in the department store or big box store? Most of us have seen them displayed outside on the lawn.
Well, a few years ago, I saw a pin that showed one of these trees decked out with Christmas ornaments. I’ve been wanting to do this ever since then. This twig tree caught my attention this year and I ordered the 4-foot tree online. The idea of adding the smaller tree to the front entry table seemed a good idea.

Unpacking The Tree
Opening the box and removing the tree pieces, it’s ready to assemble. Assembling this tree is incredibly simple! There’s a tree stand, the tree, and 3 screws for securing the tree in the stand.
Assembly
To assemble, just place the tree trunk in the opening of the tree stand and thread each of the screws into the holes in the tree stand.
Remove The Ties
You can see in the picture above that I untied one of the ties at the base of the tree when it was removed from the box. The tree branches have some spring in them and I quickly realized that it would be easiest to wait until the trunk is secured in the base before removing the others. I saved these for using to secure the branches for when the tree is put away after Christmas.
The Bare Tree
Here’s the twig tree assembled. This one is only 4-foot tall but is perfect for the entry table. A 6-foot tree would be so much more impressive. The bare twig tree doesn’t look like much right now but just you wait!
Hanging The Ornaments
Next, start adding lightweight ornaments. These sheer ornaments are lightweight even though they are a little larger.
Then, continue adding a variety of lightweight and smaller ornaments. These ornaments are gold and silver, some ribbed, some glittered, and a few with a matte or shiny finish.
A few white satin ornaments hang on the tree, too. Notice that one of the sheer fabric ornaments tops the tree.
How pretty is this? I’m still working on the tree skirt…
