Our fall and Thanksgiving decorating always begins with the family room fireplace. We drape it with beaded garlands of autumn colors. Then, a harvest sign, sunflower picture, pumpkins, and candles create a cozy and inviting focal point.

Above the mantel, we hang an Autumn Harvest sign, adding a touch of charm.
On one side of the hearth, sits a lantern filled with another pumpkin and fall sprays. An uplight behind each of these casts a warm, dramatic glow in the evening.
On the opposite side, we have a basket holding magazines with fall pillows displayed on top. More pumpkins and gourds sit on the hearth.

On the coffee table sits a metal tray with a silver pumpkin and a votive candle inside. It is surrounded by a fall berry and pinecone ring, pumpkins, and DIY acorns made from plastic Easter eggs! The decorations create a warm and inviting space for family and friends to gather and enjoy the comfort of the season.

I’ve had these Acrylic Flower Holders in my Amazon cart for a while. I finally ordered them and really like them. There are two acrylic flower holders, and they are pretty sturdy. The sliding lid is removable, making it easy to clean and maintain.
I’m not the best at arranging flowers. My daughters both have a natural talent for that. Anyway, I was a little tentative at the beginning of this arrangement. However, it seems to be a little foolproof.
You simply cut the flower stems and place them in one of the twelve holes. The flower bouquet used for this is from Trader Joe’s. I wasn’t sure how many flowers I would need. The large bouquet filled one of the flower holders, leaving a few leftover flowers.

Then, I needed to run out and stopped at Dollar Tree. When I walked down the aisle with silk flowers, I spotted plastic flower holders on the bottom shelf. These only have six holes. The lid is removable, and the plastic is thinner and less sturdy than that from Amazon. It’s $1.25, and I brought one home.
The remaining flowers filled the Dollar Tree version and made a cute little arrangement, too.
Bathroom Humor Plaque
Remember the Halloween “Please do not summon demons in the bathroom” plaque? ◄You can find it in this Halloween post. That gave me the idea for this “Wash Your Hands, Turkey!” plaque.
I had planned to display this in a frame, but I saw this dry-erase board with an easel at Dollar Tree. It seems perfect for displaying this turkey print. I created the print on Canva, downloaded it, and printed it 4 x 6 inches.

To easily adhere the print to the easel, use Elmer’s Craft Bond Spray. First, cut out the print. Then, lay the picture face side down on top of some newspaper and spray the back with the Elmer’s. Then, position it on the dry-erase board.

In the kitchen window, we’ve displayed a “Welcome to Our Home” sign and the vintage-inspired Thanksgiving banner I made a few years ago. Sitting on the window ledge are two carved black crows on pumpkins and a “Happy Harvest” sign.
