Easter Treat Jars Made From Oui Yogurt Jars: Bunny & Chick Craft Idea. Oui yogurt jars have to be the cutest jars out there. Here’s how to make Easter Oui Yogurt Jars craft!
This is an easy craft, but if drawing the faces intimidates you, I’ve included a link to download the bunny and chick faces. You can simply trace the template onto tracing paper. Cut or tear a square around the tracing. Then, flip the tracing over and place it on the painted jar. Use a pencil to trace the features onto the jar. The pencil tracing will transfer onto the painted jar.
I used a 1-inch flat paintbrush to paint the Oui jars, but you could use a foam brush instead. The paint strokes are visible, but I don’t mind that.
The multi-surface paint can be cured in an oven, making the jars dishwasher safe. The puff paint can’t, and I didn’t do that.

Supplies:
- Tulip Puff Paint
- Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint – Bumblebee
- Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint – Ocean View
- Multi-Surface Acrylic Paint – Baby Pink
- 1-inch Flat paint brush
- Clean and empty Oui Yogurt Jars
- Flower buttons or decorative clay flowers
- Tacky Glue
- Cocktail napkins
- Black Sharpie Marker
- Tracing Paper
Directions:
First, apply a coat of paint to the outside of the jar. I leave the rim of the jar unpainted. Turn the jar upside down and paint it. Per the directions on the paint bottles, allow the paint to dry for one hour.
Then, paint a second coat on the jar. Apply an additional coat to each jar if needed. I painted four coats of the yellow paint onto that jar. Allow an hour between coats.
Add the Bunny Face
Draw or download the faces, then trace them with a pencil onto tracing paper. Cut or tear a square around the tracing. Then, flip the tracing over and place it on the painted jar. Use a pencil to trace the features onto the jar. The pencil will transfer onto the painted jar.
Use the black puff paint to dot on the eyes. Then, add pink puff paint for the nose. Next, use the Sharpie to draw over the whiskers and the mouth.
The flower button I found in my stash had a shank on the back. I used a flush cutter to cut the plastic shank off the back, applied Tacky Glue to the button, and placed it on the jar. Tacky Glue sets up quickly, but lay the jar on its side for a couple of minutes until the glue sets.
Add the Chick Face

Trace or draw a face on the painted jar. Use black puff paint to dot on the eyes. Then, add orange puff paint for the chick’s beak. First, outline the beak with the puff paint. Then, fill in the center. I added extra puff paint down the center to create a more pronounced beak. A small, round paintbrush helped to create the ridge in the center of the beak.
Notice in the final pictures, I added a little bow tie made from air-dry clay.
Fold the Napkins for Bunny Ears and Chick Tail
Bunny Ears
First, open the napkin and lay it flat on a hard surface. Fold the napkin in half diagonally from opposite corners. Then, fold the top layer back toward you, creating a 3/4-inch fold.
Next, fold the top layer back over and crease along the edge, creating an accordion fold. Repeat back and forth to the corner.
Flip the napkin over and accordion pleat the other side. Then, fold the accordion-pleated napkin in half.
Place the folded napkin in the bunny jar. Then, fill with foil-wrapped Easter eggs.
Chick Tail
First, lay the folded napkin on a solid surface and fold in half diagonally.
Next, fold the top layer back, making a 3/4-inch pleat. Continue folding back and forth, forming pleats with the top layer.
Then, flip the napkin over and pleat the remaining side.
Open the pleated napkin. Fold diagonally in the opposite direction of the pleats.
Then, fold the pleats on the back layer in the same direction as the front layer. Set the napkin tale in the Oui yogurt jar.
Fill the jar with foil-wrapped chocolate Easter eggs.
