Halloween Costumes
Making Halloween costumes for little girls is so much fun! Here are a few to hopefully, inspire you!
DIY Cat Costume For Girls With Attitude – 2017. We created a cat costume with a little attitude this year. Sophie loved the boa we attached to the neckline and we also added a tail. Her mother styled her hair, added the ears, and applied makeup. To complete her look, we added cat-eye sunglasses. Fairy Halloween Costume
This year, 2015, Sophia wanted a fairy costume, but not just any costume. She had a vision. She knew what colors and how it would look. She wanted a floral headpiece with ribbons, a vest, and the ribbons on her legs were actually my idea.
More details on this costume can be found here ►A Little Fairy.
Cowgirl Halloween Costume
Last year, in 2014, Sophia decided she wanted to be a cowgirl. We have a costume, which her mother wore for an ice skating competition years ago. I had to replace the elastic and restitch a few places, but it looked pretty cute in the end. I had to order some silver gray cowboy boots online. We couldn’t find a silver hat, so after removing the silver tiara on it, I spray painted her bright pink hat silver and added some royal blue sequined trim. It was the finishing touch.
Wonder Woman Halloween Costume
The Wonder Woman costume was from Halloween 2013. For details on this costume, click here► Wonder Woman.
Little Red Riding Hood Halloween Costume
This Little Red Riding Hood outfit was adorable, but I cut the tulle into strips for the skirt and the white apron. You see so many of those made that way. Well, as you can see in the picture with the kids standing in line, the tulle kept creeping up horribly! Even if I combed it down with my fingers, it crept back up in no time.
I learned my lesson and will gather tulle from now on and never use the cut and tie method!
The crushed red velvet cape is lined in satin. It is adorable. I used a pattern for this but extended the length and, unlike the pattern, lined the hood and cape.
Audrey Hepburn Halloween Costume
This Audrey Hepburn-inspired outfit is probably my favorite so far! Details for this outfit can be found here ►Audrey Hepburn.
