If you have some pretty napkins, you can create Easter eggs you’ll love! I love these pretty blue and white napkins, which came from Tuesday Morning. They have some of the prettiest napkins. You may recognize the blue and white napkins from the post on Oui yogurt jars. Since these napkins are an all-over tiny print, covering the entire surface of the eggs seems the right thing to do.
You may remember the post from a couple of years ago on how to decorate Easter eggs with Mod Podge and paper napkins. Clear glitter is added to these and they look so elegant with the addition of the glitter. ►You can click here for complete directions for making these.
Eggs You’ll Love To Display
Some of my favorite plates are covered with a pretty blue and white chintz pattern. I decided to come up with a pretty Easter place setting using them. The idea for these eggs is inspired by the chintz plates.
Display In A Nest
You can make these following the directions for the eggs with the glitter. For these, I didn’t use clear glitter. The matte finish seemed preferable in this instance. Here, the decorated eggs rest on reindeer moss in a little grapevine nest.
Perch On Top Of Candlestick Holders
A unique idea is to display these decorative eggs on candlestick holders and add them to your tablescape.
Display In Little Nests
Another way to display them is in little nests. The decorated egg in the tiny nest in the picture rests in a little pedestal bowl. You could also place it on a less decorative plate. The bunny plate in this place setting begs to be seen.
Display In Apothecary Jars
Then, display some of the decoupaged eggs in a trio of apothecary jars on nests of sphagnum peat moss placed in a tray on the entry table. Tie a pretty bright blue ribbon around the top of the apothecary jar.
Making these from real eggs is so inexpensive, you can make a ton of them to display in the entry, on candlesticks, in baskets, and nests around the house.
