Here is how to make delicious fruity cottontail mocktails for your little ones. We created these cute Easter drinks for our family’s Easter celebration this year.
We have a little one who needs to limit her sugar. This drink is not syrupy sweet and the kids loved it. Yes, there is a Peep on the rim. One Peep is 6.8 grams of sugar. She wasn’t too impressed and only had one bite. The sparkling water has no sugar. 100% juice is used for our drinks.
Leighton was describing why she liked the drink. She commented that the pineapple ice balls start melting and then you taste the pineapple.

You can find the little sphere ice cube trays on Amazon. This set even has a scoop, an ice bin with a lid, and tongs.
You’ll want to make the pineapple ice cubes eight hours before you need them. The kids got a big kick out of the round ice balls. I told them they were bunny tails. They just laughed.

It seemed wise to use a heavier-weight Irish clear-footed coffee mug versus a more fragile stemmed glass. The handles make it easier for the little ones to hold the drink, too. Their eyes lit up when they saw their drinks.
Cottontail Mocktails
- White Grape Juice
- Sparkling water
- Pineapple Juice Ice Cubes*
- Peeps for garnish
- Fresh fruit for garnish
*Pineapple Juice Ice Cubes for the Mocktails
Supplies Needed:
- Pineapple juice
- Sphere ice cube tray
Pour the pineapple juice into an ice cube tray and freeze for 8 hours.
I really like the spherical ice cube trays. Only two of the pineapple juice spheres didn’t come out of the tray completely.
Make the Cottontail Mocktails
First, drop pineapple ice spheres into the glasses. Then, pour juice into the glasses. Top off with sparkling water.
Next, cut a slice into the bottom of the bunny Peep with kitchen shears and garnish the rim with the bunny and fresh fruit.
Add some pretty decorative straws and serve. We garnished with lemon slices, strawberries, and a pick of blueberries.
To go along with the bunny drink, we served a charcuterie board featuring a round of Brie with a bunny cutout! This seems to be the hit of the party. Everyone commented on how good the cheese is with the apricot preserves.
Making the bunny cutout and filling it with preserves is much easier than you might think! Isn’t it so cute? I got the idea for this from Erlene at Pinterventures.
It’s a good thing everyone liked the cheese and apricot preserves so well because I completely forgot to add the ham and salami I bought to the board!
