A Very Red Valentine’s Day Mantel

I decided to create a very red Valentine’s Day display.  I pulled out the Valentine’s decorations and placed them on the mantel.  You can find directions for the red and white wine cork wreath ◄ here.

At this point, I was pretty happy with the layout, but the ornament garland still seemed to overpower the display.

So, I ventured out to Michael’s and found some red ranunculus bushes, which look similar to roses, and one small rosebud bush.

Red Silk Flowers

Tucking these silk flowers in and among the other decorative items helps balance the display.  If you notice, I also switched the signs at the top.  The red flowers show up more with the white sign behind them and the red sign helps balance the red flowers on the opposite side.

So, here it is, my Valentine’s Day Mantel Decor Inspiration for you.  Enjoy!
