Our infinity mirror skeleton is so cool, but it seemed missing something. Yes, it needs a bedazzled skeleton top hat. A trip out to the local fabric and craft stores was useless. I found nothing.

Then, I remembered the snowman hat I made a while back. This pattern is the perfect size for my skeleton. You can find the free pattern and detailed directions ◄ here.
It didn’t take long to make the hat from black felt with a sewing machine, but you could easily stitch this up by hand, too.
Here are the steps, but you can find detailed directions by clicking the link above.
Bedazzled Skeleton Top Hat

Supplies Needed:
- Black felt top hat
- Dollar Tree Diamond trim
- Flat Back Clear Crystals
- Tacky Glue
- Scissors
- Dollar Tree Glitter spider
*I used hot glue to glue the hat to the skeleton.
Directions:
Apply Tacky Glue to the last row on the end of the diamond trim. Hold the trim in place until the glue sets. Then, wrap the trim around the base of the crown and cut the trim.
Glue the underside of the last row of diamonds on the trim and butt up next to the previously glued row of trim.
Bedazzle the Skeleton Top Hat Brim
To begin with, I started laying out an allover pattern for the brim and decided I didn’t care for it. Ultimately, I decided to glue a row of three rhinestones alternating with a row of two all the way around the brim. The extra blank black fabric looked better to me.
Glue a silver-glittered spider on the top of the hat. I used Tacky Glue for this, but you can use hot glue if you like.
Since the hat is finished now, hot glue the hat onto the skeleton’s head. He’s perfect now!
