You may have seen never-ending cards, aka infinity cards, before. But have you seen an infinity tree card? This unique easy-to-make infinity card is one anyone would love to receive!
Remember the never-ending Valentine card I made last year? You can view that post and video ◄ here.
Last week, I pinned a Pinterest pin by Els Ham, who makes all kinds of amazing cards. This pin serves as the inspiration for this post. Since Christmas has passed, I was challenged to make another Valentine card using the same tree idea.

Supplies Needed:
- Old Greeting Cards
- Decorative Cardstock
- Printer
- Tracing Paper
- Sharp Scissors
- Paper Cutter
- Tacky Glue
- Never Ending Tree Card Template
Directions:
First, you can print the template or use the measurements to draw the infinity card for yourself. I printed the template on cardstock and cut the individual sections to use as templates for the decorative papers and card images.
On another piece of cardstock, I lightly drew the pattern with a pencil using the measurements on the template. The pencil marks are easy to erase.
Next, cut the interior angle and the intersecting line at the point with a metal ruler and X-Acto knife. Then, score the fold lines. Scoring leaves a nicer edge.
Next, fold along the crease lines on one side of the angled cut. Then fold on the crease lines on the opposite side.
Fold the scored line on the top edge as you raise the center angle cut. Then, fold the score lines on the bottom edge.
Flatten the shape. Lift the center-angled piece and press the shape flat. If you’ve done this right, it should look like a tree shape. At this time, you should try to take the infinity card through the folding steps to be sure it functions properly. See the video at the end of this post if you need help.
Decorate the Infinity Card
Before I cut the bottom half of the picture for the side flaps, I laid the card in place and then flipped the card and picture over. Then, I drew a pencil line along the edge of the card flap. Cut the picture in half on this line.
Feel free to cut elements from old cards.
Glue the Elements to the Infinity Card
Here’s a tip: Before you glue, be sure any pictures with a top and bottom are facing the right way. You can use the pictures below as a guide.
Before gluing the little boy and girl pictures to the card, I cut and glued decorative Valentine’s Day card stock. Then, the boy and girl are glued on top.
I found the little red cupids on Canva. Reversing the images and resizing them to fit in the shapes is easy.
Use the cardstock templates to cut the decorative cardstock. I simply traced the templates onto the back of decorative cardstock and cut the shapes slightly smaller to leave a border on all sides.
