How to Make an Enchanting White Christmas Rhinestone House

White Christmas Rhinestone House

Earlier, when Dave and I visited a local antique store, I spotted this set of ceramic buildings.  I had just seen a rhinestone-studded house ornament and envisioned one as an enchanting white Christmas rhinestone house.  Well, these ceramic buildings were only a dollar each.  Why not buy the whole set and create a white Christmas village?

In case you are wondering, these were made in China, and they are likely not true antiques.

Supplies Needed:

Directions:

Paint

First, paint the ceramic house with white chalk paint.  You could use regular acrylic craft paint.  You’ll probably need two coats of paint.  Allow the paint to dry.

Apply Rhinestones

You can use the B-7000 glue included with the rhinestone set, but I used Tacky Glue.  For this project, I think the Tacky Glue is easier to use.

The wax picker pencil simplifies the process of placing tiny rhinestones in glue.  Set the rhinestones with the rhinestone facing upward.  Then, gently press the tip of the wax pencil onto the rhinestone.  Pick it up and place it in the glue.

After gluing a few of these in a line, I found that in the glue, they would float up or down.  Using the dotting tool that came with the rhinestone set, I could easily push the rhinestones up or down.  This made it easier to keep them in a straighter line.

Continue to add as many rhinestones as you like to show off the details.

 Add the Glitter

Then, brush the white glue onto the snowy areas.  You can cover as much as you like with the glitter.  I chose to glitter the areas that already showed as snow on this little house.

Sprinkle white glitter over the glue, let it sit for a minute, then pour off the excess glitter from the ceramic house.

Add a touch of elegant sparkle to your Christmas decor this year by making this stunning, unique rhinestone-studded Christmas house.  I’ve added an AI background to the picture of the house below.

I plan to use those little fairy lights, which are perfect for showing off the rhinestones and the glittery snow.
